 The renewable energy (RE), being clean energy source, is getting increasing importance in India at all levels. However, till recently little was known to common people regarding RE advantages, when the nodal ministry, MNRE initiated programmes, schemes and incentives for their development. This section details about the various forms of renewable energy sources and technologies involved for their retrieval for wider section of the society.
